What is the Silva Five Finger Technique?
The Silva Five Finger Technique has two separate uses and can be used both to:
- focus the mind into retaining information or
- relaxing the mind deeper.
Both processes require each of the five fingers to be designated to a part of the body or a specific piece of information. As an expansion of the Silva Three Finger Technique the Silva Five Finger Technique process will give you a physical trigger to help remember the event, by triggering each level of the body to remember it separately, then when you need to recall the information, you need only remember one of the levels that you programmed the information to, to recall it at will. Both processes require that your brainwave adjust to another level so that it is concentrated on the task at hand and not divided into other things that may distract you.
How does the Silva Five Finger Technique work?
The first use for the Silva Five Finger Technique is that of focusing the mind to retain information, similar to the Silva Three Finger Technique. The five fingers are divided up and assigned into: physical (thumb),
emotional (ring), and
Place the first three fingers into the three finger technique position, with the thumb pad touching the pads of the index and middle finger, then place the other two fingers flat on the palm.
When attempting to retain information is is important to focus the mind beforehand and many use the 3-2-1 method to get the mind into an alpha brainwave state for optimum recall. The 3-2-1 technique is a process of relaxation whereby you hone and focus your mind while discarding any distractions so you are focused. Once in the alpha brainwave state you can program your mind by assigning the information finger by finger.
1. Imagine the physical situation you are preparing for, what clothes you will wear, the physical actions you will perform and how you physically feel doing them.
==> Lock that information to your thumb so that it remains there.
==> Lock these feelings into your index finger.
3. Imagine the spiritual satisfaction of completing the task successfully, and how this process will bring you a step further on your spiritual journey and then lock this satisfaction to your middle finger.
While visualizing the situation imagine either a positive emotional state or at the least a stable one, do not allow yourself to feel nervous or waver in any way as this part can be one of the most important for the technique to work.
4. Imagine saying the right things, and being guided successfully by your intuition through the process. Imagine how easily you answer everything knowing that your answer is correct without question.

5. Take a few more deep breaths; if you want press each finger to the palm of your hand in turn starting from the little finger to make sure the information is “locked” in. Take another breath and return from the alpha state using the same technique as before.
Close your eyes and relax into the alpha state using the 3-2-1 method. Place your thumb and index finger together and imagine a time when you were pleasantly exhausted. Feel the tiredness after a well deserved physical exertion. Concentrate on the physical feelings and visualize them happening again in your body. Enjoy the feeling and let it fill you. Place your thumb and middle finger together and imagine a time where you felt mentally content after a success.

Place your thumb and your ring finger together and imagine the most beautiful place you can imagine, smell the flowers, or feel the water on your skin. Visualize the place fully so that it seems real to you and enjoy the sensual experience of it. Place your thumb and little finger together and think about the nicest thing that has ever been said to you. Imagine the pleasure at hearing the compliment and the warm feeling that filled your body at the time. Feel the comfort and joy that the compliment brought to you and enjoy the feeling.
